The Vineyard Mosaic of Cana Winery
Cana Winery draws its wines from a rich mosaic of vineyards across the Cana region of the Galilee and Upper Galilee regions. In the Galilee, wine speaks in a human voice; warm, inviting, and quietly complex. From the lower valleys to the elevated vineyards of the Upper Galilee, climate and terrain create a natural harmony between sun and stone, softness and structure. Limestone soils, terra rossa, and alluvial valleys unite with Mediterranean warmth, cooling elevations, and slow ripening to produce wines of brightness, depth, and graceful aging potential.
Valleys, hills, plateaus, and forested ridgelines - from the slopes of Mount Tabor and the Jezreel Valley to the Dalton Plateau and the high hills overlooking the valleys - shape grapes of distinct character. Cool nights and sunlit days yield wines that are generous yet refined, fruit-expressive yet mineral-driven, finishing with elegance, focus, and impressive length.
This is also a land of layered meaning. Nazareth, Cana of Galilee, Nain, Sepphoris, Magdala, Tiberias - the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Bethsaida, and Chorazin form a living corridor of paths, waters, and welcoming places, reminding us that transformation often begins in simplicity: a glass, a vessel, and an open heart. From within this landscape, we choose with intention. Working alongside growers who share our values of love and faith, we tend the vines with patience, humility, and trust in the rhythm of the seasons. From these vineyards, fruit ripens with purpose, allowing each wine to speak clearly of its origin, with clarity, grace, and meaning.
